PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- A decades-old neighborhood sign has gone missing from the Bradley University area, and residents are asking for its return, no questions asked.

Leaders from The Arbor District Neighborhood Association said the sign was taken from the corner of West Bradley Avenue and North Cooper Street sometime over a recent weekend. Association President Adam Longtai said it appears the sign was not knocked over in an accident, but was instead pulled out and removed.

“There were originally four of these signs around the neighborhood,” Longtai said. “Over the years, we have had to replace and repair them due to accidents and vandalism. This one has been rebuilt before, and it should be here. It has been part of the neighborhood for decades.”
