STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.— After about one day of deliberations, jurors assigned to the Abdul Olasupo trial acquitted the defendant of murder, manslaughter and reckless endangerment.
Olasupo — who claimed self-defense in the July 22, 2020 incident — was found guilty of criminal possession of a firearm and is due back before Justice Mario F. Mattei for sentencing Sept. 7 in State Supreme Court, St. George.
