LEBANON, Mo. (KY3) - Nestled away on Highway B south of 32 and east of downtown Lebanon lies the Lebanon Midway Speedway.

This track and dirt racing runs deep for Joe Seaman, owner of Joker Welding in Lebanon.

“My family’s raced for generations,” Seaman said. “I came here after high school and watched here and there. I had friends that raced. We raced. My family’s raced here. I’ve raced here.”

Seaman helps run the track with his friend and owner, Clint Gann. Both, however, say the weather has been unforgiving on the current racing season.

Seaman said the right setup for dirt racing comes down to how much water is on the track. So much rain this spring left the track too muddy for drivers. Now, it’s just too dry to race.
