WYFF News 4 has been speaking to multiple parties involved. We are learning that this is a complex issue, particularly for the Pickens County School District.
According to the Pickens County School District, officials knew from the beginning this situation could not be resolved quickly without risking fairness and due process.
WYFF 4 spoke to a family member of one of the students suspended for hitting a teammate at a football camp in July.
"We do not condone any type of violence or altercations. I saw the effect. Let's talk about the cause," the family member said.
