LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - One person was hospitalized after a motorcycle crash in south Lincoln Friday evening.

Officers were called to the area of Nebraska Parkway and Apples Way regarding a single-motorcycle crash at 6 p.m.

According to LPD, a 47-year-old man who was riding an motorcycle going eastbound on Nebraska Parkway, going the speed limit, hit a wooden block in the roadway. There were no reported secondary crashes, and it is unknown how the wooden block got in the roadway.

The rider was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
