SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Welcome to the weekend! Heading into this weekend, we will continue the trend of hot and humid weather across the ArkLaTex. However, isolated showers and storms will be possible through the many afternoons ahead! For today, highs should rise into the mid and upper 90s for the northern half and lower to mid 90s for the southern half, with mostly sunny skies through the day and a small chance for rain by the afternoon. Cloud cover will likely be the reason for lower highs in areas south of I-20.

Sunday should be very similar, with highs rising back to the lower and middle 90s, with a few areas hitting the upper 90s. Once again, we cannot rule out an isolated shower through the afternoon, but the chances remain low. Bring out an umbrella just in case. The Atlantic cu
