SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame football has lost two players for the 2025 season because of knee injuries, and one of the players has decided to medically retire.
Running back Kedren Young and tight end Kevin Bauman both suffered season-ending knee injuries during practice this past week.
Bauman has had four serious injuries during his career at Notre Dame, all on the same leg. He recently released a message on social media that he has decided to retire from football. This was Bauman’s last year of eligibility and everyone was hoping he could stay healthy. He did play in 14 games last season and caught one touchdown pass.
Sophomore Kedren Young tore his ACL and will have to undergo surgery. He was expected to contribute this year, even though Notre Dame is loaded at the running ba
