The search continues for a man who went missing Wednesday in Fairbanks.

Tony Peter was last seen by family members around 3 p.m. Wednesday at Everts Air. A trail camera shows Peter walking north from the Tanana levee area on Peger Road barefoot and wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts around 11:30 p.m. His truck and phone were found abandoned Thursday morning.

Peter is a 61-years-old Alaska Native man, standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds with a black crewcut.

Volunteer search and rescue teams have been searching the area since Friday afternoon. The public is asked not to conduct foot searches in the wooded areas to avoid disrupting their work.

Peter's family has said that they are extremely worried for his safety.
