ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
A man accused of shooting and killing an Uber driver is being held in jail after making his first court appearance on Saturday.
According to court documents, Sheliky Sanchez has been charged with murder, armed robbery and tampering with evidence in connection with the shooting death of Joseph Andrus on Thursday.
Court records say Albuquerque police responded to a shooting on the 400 block of Merlida Street SW around 3 a.m. on Thursday. Officers found Andrus lying in the street after suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
