CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) -A pedestrian is dead after a crash occurred Friday night near Dayton while he was trying to flee from canines, according to troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
OSP says that they were called around 9:30 p.m. for a crash on Lower Valley Pike near Cloverdale Road in Clark County.
The preliminary investigation shows that Donelle Sanning, 35, of New Carlisle, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze on Lower Valley Pike. Pedestrian Jason Caponera, 46, from Yonkers, New York, was also walking northeast on the shoulder of the same road when two canines from a nearby house ran across the street, jumping onto Caponera.
