WALKER, Minn. — The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is investigating after a Walker Police officer shot a man on Friday evening.

Around 6:39 p.m., a City of Walker police officer received a report about a man wearing only boxer shorts and acting erratically, according to a release from the department.

Authorities said the description matched a dispatch call received by the Cass County Sheriff's Office, alleging a man was carrying a knife on Minnesota Avenue.

Callers also reported several vehicles with punctured tires in the same area, according to the police statement.

In the release, authorities say the responding officer located the suspect, but the man allegedly fled the scene, running to the Dollar General store near the intersection of State Highway 34 and State Highway 200
