NEWBERG TOWNSHIP, MI - A man has been hospitalized after a crash early Saturday morning in Newberg Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash at 2:25 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, on M-60 near Lewis Lake Road.

The driver of the vehicle, Robert Saxton III of Cassopolis, was eastbound on M-60 when he ran off the road and his vehicle overturned, police said.

Newberg Township Fire and Ambulance provided medical treatment at the scene of the crash and transported Saxton to Beacon Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are currently examining whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
