ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — A motorcyclist is seriously injured after a crash in Salem Township on Saturday afternoon.

Around 12:35 p.m., Allegan County Central Dispatch received a notification from Ottawa County Central Dispatch that there was a crash in the area of 26th Street and Ottogan Street.

Units from the Jamestown Township Fire Department and the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and found that the crash involved a motorcycle and a sedan.

Deputies said the preliminary investigation shows that a motorcycle was headed east on Ottogan Street at 26th Street when a sedan headed north failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle and crashed into it.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The two occupants of the sedan were not injure
