MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — Several people are hurt after a crash in Mecosta County on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), deputies were dispatched to northbound US-131 near Mile Marker 133 around noon for a crash.

Deputies said the investigation showed that a 33-year-old Norton Shores man was headed northbound with his passenger, a 26-year-old Muskegon Heights man, when they veered off the road and hit two unoccupied, parked vehicles.

Both men were pinned inside the vehicle and had to be cut out by fire crews.

Deputies said the men were seriously injured, with the man from Norton Shores taken to the hospital in an ambulance and the man from Muskegon Heights taken to the hospital by Aeromed.
