WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Authorities have issued a statewide Silver Alert for a missing Wichita man with dementia.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says 69-year-old Roosevelt Sims was last seen Aug. 2 at Wesley Medical Center, 550 N. Hillside, where he was treated for minor discomfort and discharged the same day. He was reported missing to Wichita police on July 25 by his wife.

Sims is described as 6 feet tall, about 170 pounds, with long white hair in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a black ballcap with “chicken chasing” on the side, a dark blue T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

Anyone who sees Sims is urged to call 911 immediately. Those with information on his whereabouts can contact Wichita police at 316-268-4111.
