WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Drivers on K-42 can expect lane closures and slower traffic starting Monday as crews begin an overlay project from MacArthur Road to Hoover Road.

Traffic control will stay in place between MacArthur and Ridge Road until that section is done. Once work moves north of Ridge, crews will clear traffic control at the end of each day.

Work kicks off in the inside lanes before shifting to the outside lanes. Construction runs Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with completion targeted for October, weather permitting, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
