HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The sights and sounds of jets filled the air over Windward Oahu Saturday as the Blue Angels took to the skies.

Thousands watched as the Navy’s demonstration team took flight at the Kaneohe Bay Air Show.

The Blue Angels weren’t the only planes in the sky as the show also featured the Air Force’s F-22 Raptor demonstration team alongside a variety of other aircraft.

Organizers said it’s the perfect way to kick off the 250th Birthday of the Marine Corps, which will be celebrated in November.

“Everybody loves the Blue Angels, F-22 again, that aircraft looks like it does things that airplanes should not be able to do, so that’s always fascinating to watch. The gyroplane has been a crowd favorite, just again something unique that I don’t think a lot of people see,”
