Ni ne public school districts in Maricopa and Pinal counties – including Queen Creek Unified – have issued an unusual joint communique celebrating satellite Career Technical Education satellite programs on their campuses.

Joining Queen Creek Unified School District in the release were Tempe Union, Chandler Unified, Gilbert Public Schools, Higley Unified, Cave Free Unified, Apache Junction Unified Combs Unified and Fountain Hills Unified school districts.

Collectively, the nine school districts offer over 100 CTE programs serving a total 24,000 students through satellites – 15 of which are available exclusively on their high school campuses.

The communication was issued at a time when the East Valley Institute of Technology is negotiating new agreements with the 11 school districts
