ST. LOUIS -- Sunday will bring more heat and humidity across the region, with the highest storm chances north of I-70. A few storms are possible from around sunrise through midday, mainly in northern Missouri.

South of I-70, the day will stay dry with plenty of sunshine and another round of hot, humid weather. Areas that see storms will top out in the upper 80s to near 90. Where skies stay clear, highs will reach the mid-90s, with heat index values between 100–105 degrees.

Looking ahead to next week, the storm zone will linger nearby. Expect storm chances in the late afternoon and evening on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Highs will run near or slightly above normal, close to 90 degrees each day.
