A person who was pulled from the water off Nantasket Beach on Saturday after a report of a capsized boat has died, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

The U.S. Coast Guard said a crew from Station Point Allerton discovered an overturned vessel with a person in the water near Nantasket Beach at 9:50 a.m. Advertisement

Members of the State Police Marine Unit also responded, and troopers and members of the Hull police and fire departments searched the shoreline.

Rescue crews recovered the person from the water and performed CPR until that person was taken to a hospital, where they later died.
