ROCK HILL, S.C. — A man has been arrested after a deadly crash Saturday night in Rock Hill, according to Rock Hill Police.

Police responded to Crawford Road, which is just off South Heckle Boulevard, shortly after 9 p.m. on Aug. 9. When they arrived, they found a Mercedes and a Suzuki motorcycle that had been in a collision. The motorcyclist, Leroy Canty, 41, had life-threatening injuries and later died. Police believe the motorcyclist was driving on Crawford Road when the Mercedes turned left in front of the motorcycle, causing the crash.

The driver of the Mercedes, 42-year-old Marshall Hart of Rock Hill, ran away from the scene after the collision, police say. Officers searched the area with the assistance of the Rock Hill K-9 Tracking Team, and ultimately found Hart on Frank Street, w
