OLD TOWN -- A standoff on Stillwater Avenue Sunday morning has been resolved after a suspect was taken into police custody.

Old Town Police say they responded around 4:17 a.m. to a report of a disorderly incident in the area of 812 Stillwater Avenue. They say 23-year-old Christopher Campbell of Old Town allegedly made threats to an unknown individual and then fled the immediate vacinity.

A stretch of Stillwater Avenue was closed off for much of the morning while crews from Old Town and Maine State Police made their investigation and searched for the suspect. They apprehended Campbell inside the residence around 10:15 a.m. after obtaining a search warrant.

Campbell was charged with criminal threatening, terrorizing, criminal mischief and creating a police standoff.
