But the reality is much more complicated.

Here’s the truth: 90% of Canadian exports to the United States — if not more — are exempt from Trump’s tariffs. That’s because those goods are traded under the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA), negotiated during Trump’s first term.
