BEREA, Ohio -- An 18-year-old man was shot during a physical altercation at the Cuyahoga County Fair late Saturday night.

The shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. when approximately 10 young adults became involved in a fight inside the fairgrounds, Berea police said. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his torso and was treated by medics on scene before being transported to a local hospital, according to police reports.

Following the incident, Middleburg Heights Police Department intercepted a vehicle fleeing the scene and arrested a male occupant who was found in possession of a firearm. However, investigators have not yet determined if the arrested individual was involved in the shooting.
