CALHOUN COUNTY, MI – Charges are pending against seven people connected to a large-scale high-end auto and parts theft operation, police said.

The multi-jurisdictional investigation was led by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office which uncovered the alleged criminal activity spanning multiple communities.

While investigating an unrelated incident in Sheridan Township on Saturday, Aug. 9, sheriff’s deputies observed a suspicious vehicle in the area.

Police spoke with the driver and learned the vehicle was recently acquired. Deputies soon confirmed with the registered owner that it had been stolen. A second vehicle stolen from the same owner was located on the same Sheridan Township property, police said.
