NEW OREANS (WGNO) - It started out as a fairly stormy morning along parts of the South Shore and coastal areas, but the afternoon through evening may see a few showers on this "football pre-season" Sunday Funday.

Looking like the heaviest rain will stick to the coast by Plaquemines parish and the Lake Borgne area mid-afternoon with a few isolated showers by Terrebonne parish later this evening.

The lower rain trends will continue through the overnight as temperatures fall down to the upper 70s, and speaking of this evening: Don’t forget to gaze up at the STURGEON FULL MOON tonight!!!
