MARTINSBURG — Eagle School Intermediate decided to prepare for the new school year in style as staff joined the Teachers on Tour. On July 30, eight staff members got on the bus and drove around to visit students and meet parents before school starts. The goal was to begin building relationships and ensure everyone feels safe and confident when they walk into the classroom.

The idea for this event came from the Jostens Renaissance program, which provides a framework for schools all over the country to build a better culture where everyone enjoys coming to school. Assistant Principal Stacy Hammond, who coordinated the event, explained that every year a group from Eagle School attends the Jostens Renaissance conference to learn more about school climate and get fun ideas.
