FLINT, MI - Flint Community Schools has named Dr. Natoya Coleman as its new Chief Innovation Officer.

It’s a recently created executive-level position that’ll support districtwide leadership and strategic planning.

Coleman brings 18 years of experience in education, including the last five years in Flint.

She most recently served as principal at Doyle-Ryder Community Education Center and previously as assistant principal at Southwestern Classical Academy, the district’s high school.

Her background includes roles as a middle and high school English teacher, academic coach, curriculum writer, and adjunct professor at Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J.
