An argument turned into a shooting in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 5600 block of Ringgold Road Sunday afternoon, East Ridge police say.

Nobody was injured, and the armed suspect left the scene before officers arrived, Chief of Police Clint Uselton confirmed to Local 3 News.

There's no ongoing threat to the public, as police say it was a "localized incident."

The shooting is currently under investigation.
