KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A pair of Adaptive Warrior KC Athletes will represent the United States on the International Stage.
Kate Hwang, a retired KCPD officer, will compete for USA Para Track & Field team at the 2025 world championships in the 100-meter dash and shotput.
“I don’t think words can express what it will feel like competing on an international level,” Hwang said when asked about the prospect of competing overseas.
Brinley Hutson, a 16-year-old from Olathe West High School, will represent the red, white, and blue at this year’s 2025 Para Powerlifting Worlds Next Gen competition.
“It’s really amazing,” Hutson said of qualifying for the Next Gen Worlds.
