Trump Accounts to give children born over next 3 years $1,000 in savings for their futures

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A new plan under President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act is aiming to help families save for their children’s futures with free money.

The program is called Trump Accounts.

Bridget Davis and her 6 month old son Kaden could be one of the first families to take part in the federal government’s new type of savings program.

“For my son it’s exciting if it’s free money for him and if it helps him out in the future,” Davis said.

Under new law, the government will give all children born in the U.S. in the next three years a one time payment of 1,000 dollars.
