CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – Ahead of the school year, free haircuts and hair styling were provided for kids in the community center at the Rainbow Terrace Apartments on Cleveland’s east side on Sunday.

Rainbow Terrace was the site of an explosion and massive fire on June 23.

It hospitalized a handful of people, displaced many who lost all their belongings, and claimed the life of Cordale Sheffield, who ran back into the burning building to save his two stepchildren.

The tragedy united the residents of the apartment complex off Garden Valley Avenue.

In July, Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders held a community event to try and uplift the spirits of people there.

Now, a former office employee at Rainbow Terrace, Natasha Navarro, came up with the idea for this event.
