BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - There is one thing you can do as a driver to make sure students are safe this school year and that’s stopping for school buses.
AAA Alabama is sharing a crucial reminder on school bus laws and the technology some school districts are using to catch people breaking them.
Just taking an extra 30 seconds to stop when a school bus is picking up or dropping off students could save lives, and prevent a run in with the law.
AAA Alabama reminding you that anytime you see a school bus stopping or it’s lights are flashing – you must stop.
The exception to this rule is if you are on a four-lane, divided highway. That means there is a median separating the road.
