A hugely popular Coventry-filmed drama series has been axed. This Town was penned by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
Released in March 2024, the six-part series explored the story of a group of young people who are drawn into a thrilling music scene in the Midlands in the 1980s. It featured songs from legendary Coventry and Birmingham bands, such as UB40 and The Specials.
Filming took place in Coventry , Birmingham , Wolverhampton, and the Black Country. Among the cast of the BBC series were Levi Brown as Dante Williams, Michelle Dockery as Estella, and David Dawson as Robbie Carmen.
