The City of Toronto is trying to rhyme away conflicts between cyclists, pedestrians and cars.
Starting this week, the city is rolling out a new public awareness campaign with lines like "You've got wheels, they've got heels," "It's a real pain when you stop in the bike lane" and "If it takes gas, it moves too fast for the bike lane."
It's part of a growing focus on managing traffic in Toronto's bike lanes, which in recent years have become populated with electric bikes and scooters alongside the typical pedal-powered vehicles the infrastructure is named after.
Barbara Gray, the city's director of transportation, said the city is working with police on managing the micromobility devices.
"Education is the first line of defense," she said.
