A woman has died after being struck by a van last month in downtown Toronto.

Police responded to the incident at Brunel Court and Fort York Boulevard on July 27 around 10 a.m.

An 82-year-old woman was walking across a driveway when she was struck by a white van, Toronto police said in a media release.

They say the van did not remain on scene and was last seen driving toward Fort York Boulevard.

The woman was taken to hospital, but died from her injuries on Friday.

Police are asking any witnesses or people with dash camera footage of the area to contact investigators.
