High School Football: Key dates for each Region team in 2025 season

The 14 Monroe County Region teams begin preparations for the 2025 season with two-a-day practices Monday.

Here are the dates to remember for each of the teams.

AIRPORT

2024 record: 4-5.

Coach: Derek Anderson, second year (4-5).

First practice : 12:01 a.m. Monday.

Scrimmage : Aug. 21 at Wyandotte Roosevelt.

First game : Aug. 28 at Tecumseh.

Circle on the schedule : Riverview at home Sept. 12.

Playoff history : Qualified 18th times. Playoff record is 9-18.

BEDFORD

2024 record: 5-5.

Coach: John Phillips, sixth year (22-15).

First practice : 4-8:30 p.m. Monday.

Scrimmage : Aug. 21 at Gibraltar Carlson.

First game : Aug. 28 at Sterling Heights Stevenson.
