Sheriff Troy Goodnough has hired a new corrections officer for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office .

According to a community announcement, Drew Weyher, a 2025 graduate of Ida High School, brings valuable experience from the Career and Technical Education Program for Corrections.

Weyher, raised in Temperance, encourages high school students to explore similar opportunities. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and working out.

The sheriff's office invites the community to welcome Weyher as he begins his new role.
