Good morning! We are starting the day with quiet conditions and mild temperatures in the 70s. Cloud cover will increase throughout the day with scattered showers and storms developing this afternoon. The highest rain chances will be for our eastern communities, particularly those near the Blue Ridge Mountains. High temperatures will range from 83°F to 87°F.
Tuesday will feature higher rain chances thanks to a low-pressure pressure off the Southeast coast. This system will bring in abundant moisture for much of the Deep South, including the Tennessee Valley. Slow-moving storms will increase the risk of localized flash flooding, especially during the afternoon and evening. Rain chances and increased cloud cover will keep highs in the lower 80s.
Daily storm chances will linger on Wednesday
