The drink-driving limit in England and Wales is set to be cut as part of major safety changes by the Government.

It signals one of the biggest law changes in years around drink-driving, following calls by safety campaigners to get tougher on the issue to cut deaths and injuries on the roads.

The drink-drive limit is expected to be slashed from 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath to 22 micrograms. This is already the limit in Scotland.
