VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — A traffic alert for those who utilize a back road connecting Indiana and Kentucky.

The Evansville Street Maintenance Department will close Waterworks Road for street repairs.

We're told this will be in effect starting Monday, August 11th until noon on Friday, August 15th.

Officials say emergency vehicles will not be allowed through during this time.

Waterworks Road Westbound will remain open from Highway 41 to LST Drive.

Meanwhile, the Eastbound Lane will remain open from Veterans Memorial Parkway to Riverview Court.

The detour route will be Highway 41 and Veterans Memorial Parkway.
