Hot and humid conditions will kick off the work week across much of Michigan, and scattered thunderstorms are likely to pop up as well, according to the National Weather Service.

" Chances of showers and thunderstorms return this afternoon (Aug. 11) and continue through Wednesday (Aug. 13). Hot and humid conditions continue today but get tempered a bit the rest of the week," the NWS in Detroit said on X.

Hazardous weather outlooks are in place throughout northern Michigan for Aug. 11 as heat and thunderstorms are likely to bring strong winds and possible flooding from "torrential rainfall."
