TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Current Tallahassee City Commissioner Jeremy Matlow has officially thrown his hat into the ring for Tallahassee Mayor.
“As your Mayor, I’ll dedicate my time to improving the way of life and affordable living for all Tallahasseeans, create high paying jobs, build reasonably priced housing and protect our neighborhoods and environment,” Matlow said in a statement.
Matlow has served as a city commissioner since he was elected in 2018, according to a profile on the city’s website.
WCTV contacted Leon County Supervisor of Elections Mark Earley to confirm the filing. Earley confirmed that Matlow filed the appropriate paperwork Monday morning.
As of Monday morning, the only other candidate to officially file for Mayor of Tallahassee was Camron Cooper .
