Police in a northern Massachusetts town are warning residents to be on the lookout for a large bear that has been spotted multiple times in recent days.
Townsend police said the 400-pound bear has been seen multiple times in the same neighborhood. The latest sighting occurred on Sunday around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Mason and Greenville roads while people in the area were outside grilling.

For the next week, Townsend police are urging residents -- especially those with children or pets -- to remove all bird feeders, secure and store trash and close all doors, including garage doors.
