OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - This day in 2013 started a dark chapter in Omaha’s history.
12 years ago, spree killer Nikko Jenkins began his hunt just days after being released from Nebraska Corrections.
In a 10-day span, Jenkins murdered four people in three separate attacks.
He didn’t act alone, as several of his family members have since gone to prison for helping him.
Before his killing spree, Jenkins served a 10-year prison sentence for carjacking.
Now, he remains on death row , along with 11 others in Nebraska.
Recently, Jenkins appeared in court after asking the state to set his execution date.
