SILVER SPRING, Md. (WLNE)– The Food and Drug Administration is recalling 803 cases of cookies sold at Target due to “potential contamination by a foreign material.”

The Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies, distributed by Target, may contain wood, according to the FDA’s recall notice.

The contaminated cookies were sold in 20 states, primarily in the Northeast and Midwest and including all six New England states.

According to the FDA, the expiration dates on the packages of cookies are varied, and the recalled cookies were each sold in packs of 10.
