More than 800 cases of popular sugar cookies sold at Target stores in more than 20 states have been recalled after wood fragments were reportedly found inside.
The voluntary notice to recall the cookies was issued by Give and Go Prepared Food Corp on July 22 over the potential for "foreign material" contamination, specifically wood.
The recall includes Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies sold in 10-count packages with UPC code 85239-41250 3 and lot number 25195. Best-by dates vary "as they are applied by retailer when removed from freezer."
