LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville's Office of Planning wants feedback on how to improve 391 acres of publicly-owned land along River Road. Every acre sits in the Ohio River's flood plain, which the city says limits the scope of its plans. There's already a lot of reasons people are hooked on Louisville parks.
"I feel right at home," local fisherman Kaylon Bendy said along the Ohio's bank at Carrie Gaulbert Cox Park, one of the parks slated for potential upgrades. "You can learn some new things about life."
Noah Keeter is hooked on disc golf, recently playing at Champion Park. He says it's a great spot for beginners. An expansion of the course there would score points with Keeter.
