A community protection officer issuing the closure notice on the flat

A flat in Hyson Green has been shut down by the authorities following a series of complaints ranging from threats of serious violence to the exploitation of vulnerable people.

Nottingham City Council's Anti-Social Behaviour Team and Nottinghamshire Police issued a closure order on the flat in Bentinck Road, Hyson Green . The flat will be locked for three months.

The action was taken after several complaints were lodged against the flat's occupant.

Framework staff said the tenant had been exploiting vulnerable people, making threats of violence and causing a nuisance and disorder.

The flat had a constant stream of visitors at all hours of the night and was visited regularly by Nottinghamshire Police.
