A 34-year-old Sault woman was charged with operation while impaired and dangerous operation following the police discovery of a vehicle in a ditch near Landslide Road and Fourth Line East on Aug. 9.
Police responded around 4:40 p.m. and say they found the vehicle in a ditch with Samantha Mitchell outside. After speaking with her, officers suspected impairment by alcohol. Breath samples taken at the station allegedly registered above the legal limit.
Mitchell faces multiple charges, including operation while impaired, dangerous operation, driving without a licence, and failure to surrender vehicle permit and insurance card.
She was released on an appearance notice and will appear in court on September 8, 2025.
